ABOUT THIS PIECE
Finely handwoven in the city of Mashhad, Eastern Persia. Handwoven using fine locally sourced handspun Wool on a Cotton Foundation, this carpet maintains a thick lustrous pile with beautiful Abrash colours, with a floral Lachak Toranj (Medallion and corners) design. A highly desired quality, Abrash refers to when different shades of the same colour are present on a carpet, revealing expert use of high quality dyes and small scale manufacturing of the carpet.
