Vintage Lillian Afshan Armenian Persian Rug

Handwoven by Armenian weavers of the famous town of Lillian in western Persia, in beautiful Abrash. All Armenian Toranj style carpets woven In this region have crosses and secret crosses intigrated in the design.

190 × 150 CM (6'3" × 4'11"), DRAWN TO SCALE WITH TYPICAL AUSTRALIAN FURNITURE SIZES.
About the length of a 3-seater sofa, so it sits just in front of it with the coffee table on it. Floated like this it reads as a deliberate island rather than a rug that came up short.
The chairs sit on the rug at the table, but with 35 cm of rug beyond the table their back legs catch the edge when pulled out. 60 cm is the comfortable margin.
Narrower than a queen bed, so it sits across the foot of the bed, tucked 20 cm under. A pair of runners either side is the other way to dress a bed this size.
