Handwoven In Sirjan Kerman Southeastern Persia. Sirajn Soumak rugs are world-famous for their unique designs and durable double weft construction. Soumaks are flatweaves made using the warp replacement technique. Soumak weaving requires significantly more expertise and time as opposed to a flatweave Kilim. Made of fine local handspun wool using mostly natural dyes on a durable Wool foundation.

180 × 123 CM (5'11" × 4'), DRAWN TO SCALE WITH TYPICAL AUSTRALIAN FURNITURE SIZES.
About the length of a 3-seater sofa, so it sits just in front of it with the coffee table on it. Floated like this it reads as a deliberate island rather than a rug that came up short.
Only 22 cm of rug would show beyond even a four-seat table, so the chairs would sit off it. This one belongs in a living room or bedroom.
Narrower than a queen bed, so it sits across the foot of the bed, tucked 20 cm under. A pair of runners either side is the other way to dress a bed this size.
