Handwoven in Baluchestan southeastern Persia, with fine local handspun wool and 100% natural dyes.
Using an intricate weaving technique called “fluid weft”, which allows weavers more freedom in design, Baluchistan kilims are famous for their elaborate motifs and distinctive linear abstractions.
Muharramat design is one of the original and ancient designs of Iranian rugs, which can be also seen in other traditional arts. Muharramat is very simple, the form of stripes covers the entire length of the rug, and each stripe can be decorated with a pattern or colour. Sometimes they are combined with other designs.
Kilims are a terrific type of rug that is usually made from wool which is interwoven rather than knotted; this means that the surface is ‘flat’ instead of having a ‘pile’. Kilims exhibit some of the most original and unique designs within Persian rugs, with simple fields of colours, geometric shapes and symbols and motifs of flora and fauna. With their minimal design elements, they are perfectly suited for various interiors.

The chairs sit on the rug at the table, but with 45 cm of rug beyond the table their back legs catch the edge when pulled out. 60 cm is the comfortable margin.
Under the lower part of a king bed with 49 cm of rug showing on each side, so your feet land on it either side of the bed.
