ABOUT THIS PIECE

This vintage handwoven Hamadan carpet runner has been made from high-quality handspun wool on a cotton foundation with natural dyes in Enjelas Village of Hamadan, western Iran.

Hamadan carpets are famous for their thick and tight pile, firmness, and durability so they are perfectly suited for highly frequented rooms.

In term of Design, this village rug features a Mahi (fish) design, symbolising fish swimming around in a pond.
