Ayneh dan (mirror bags) are small handbags woven by nomadic women for the storage of makeup items and a small mirror.
Mirror bags are often specifically woven as gift by Mothers and older sisters for their adolescent daughters. This results in some mirror bags with some of the most eye-catching designs and construction methods of any handwoven textile.
