Lost for more than a century, the art of Nishapur ware is being revived by a team of 3 artisans in Tehran, who have studied the centuries-old technique for more than 20 years. Made of stone powder and using Metal oxides as dyes in a highly involved process, the artisans today use ancient techniques in Creating replicas of the original historical designs as well as new interpretations by hand.
